UHPP provides community outreach services in Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, and Greene Counties, including educational programs, community health fairs, outreach events as well as small and large group activities. In collaboration with many networking partners and coalition members, UHPP meets its mission by providing over 500 sexual health comprehensive sex education programs to over 5,000 people each year, while reaching over 10,000 individuals at over two dozen community fairs and outreach events.


Work With Diverse Organizations

UHPP has letters of linkage with over 100 diverse, community-based organizations in the Capital Region. UHPP works directly with many diverse agencies and organizations: The Alliance for Positive Health, Mission Accomplished Transition Services, BOCES/Questar, Black Leadership Coalition Against AIDS, LaSalle School, Hudson Mohawk Recovery Center, Parsons Child and Family Center, Albany Medical College, The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, Equinox, the AMC Physicians Assistants Program, SUNY-Albanys Center for the Elimination of Minority Health Disparities (CEMHD) the Pride Center of the Capital Region, colleges and universities, as well as several places of worship in the Capital District.

Fairs

Yearly, UHPP conducts outreach to over 10,000 people at over 40 different fairs, community festivals and health outreach events including: African-American Family Day, HVCC Health Fair, LARKFest, Tulip Fest, as well as UHPP's infamous National Condom Week (Valentines Day week in February)!

Information and Education Advisory Committee
UHPP's Education department is also responsible an annual meeting and is comprised of area school, agency and organization representatives, members meet in person to preview the newest and most innovative sexual health resources (books, curricula, videos, pamphlets) in order to advise UHPP on resource purchases and development.
