MEMPHIS, TN — Barry Chase, President of Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region (PPGMR) is pleased to announce that Joan Carr has accepted the position of Director of Community Affairs. She brings to PPGMR experience in journalism, media relations and public health. Carr will be responsible for directing PPGMR’s media relations and advocacy efforts.

            “Joan’s views align with that of the majority of Americans that women deserve access to quality healthcare regardless of race, national origin or ability to pay,” Chase said. “She supports comprehensive sexuality education and access to affordable birth control to help women prevent unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.”
