Memphis City Council Recognizes PPGMR Board Chair Nora Boone

The resolution, sponsored by Memphis City Council Member Janis Fullilove, calls Ms. Boone “a woman of tremendous character, whose life is devoted to work, civic duty and helping others....” The resolution especially recognizes Ms. Boone’s organizing of a “Help Haiti” fundraising event on January 14th; just two days after an earthquake devastated the Caribbean island.” It also recognizes Ms. Boone’s volunteer work with the Juvenile Court’s CASA program, Hope House, Ronald McDonald House and many other Mid-South civic and charitable organizations.
Nora Boone has served on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region for four years. In July of last year, she assumed the position of Board Chair. Ms. Boone is a tireless supporter of reproductive rights, reproductive health care and comprehensive sexuality education. She brings considerable talent, expertise and passion to PPGMR’s Board of Directors and plays a key role in steering PPGMR’s policies and fundraising activities.
