Introducing PPTNM

Effective June 1, 2018, Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region and Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee will consolidate and continue business as Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi (PPTNM).

We take pride in the fact that our patients and communities choose Planned Parenthood health centers because of the high quality, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and trustworthy care. This will not change. Our medical team will still be available and health records will remain secured within our electronic system.

The decision to consolidate comes after years of discussion surrounding how to best position the organization in the ever-changing health care landscape. This is an opportunity to improve systems and processes that will strengthen our position as a healthcare provider and ultimately provide better services for our patients and communities.

Planned Parenthood has a legacy of care in Tennessee that exceeds 75 years. Health care and services will continue to 95 counties across Tennessee, plus regions of northern Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas. In 2017, the statewide health centers served more than 20,000 patients for more than 30,000 visits last year.

PPTNM will maintain the four health centers in Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville.
