Advocates works to advance legislation that improves access to sexual and reproductive health care and to stop restrictive legislation.

Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri works to:

  • Raise voices and share expert knowledge with state and federal lawmakers through accurate and transparent testimony;
  • Educate and lead a dynamic presence in the state and national capitols by inviting thousands to take action on behalf of and for Planned Parenthood patients;
  • Mobilize masses of like-minded individuals through online campaigns and petitions to ensure the voice of the Planned Parenthood community is heard;
  • Organize a dedicated volunteer base to knock on doors and make phone calls to educate the community on reproductive rights and health;
  • Host public events to advance the belief that women and doctors are qualified to make health care decisions without restrictions imposed by external political or religious ideologies;
  • Collect and share patient stories to demonstrate there should be no barriers for anyone to obtain basic health care;
  • Register community members to vote and encourage everyone to vote.
