Birth control

If you don't use birth control when you're sexually active, you run a high risk of getting pregnant. Every year, more than 80 percent of women aged 15 - 44 who do not use birth control during vaginal intercourse become pregnant.

Abstaining from sex is the only certain way to avoid pregnancy, but using birth control can definitely reduce the risk. There are many methods and options. Check out the national Planned Parenthood web site for extensive information on the latest birth control methods and how they work. Or make an appointment at of our local health centers to speak with Planned Parenthood staff, who can give you the full range of information.  Make an appointment online or call 541-344-9411.
