OUT Web Fest Celebrates Entertainment Creatives in LGBTQ and Allied Communities with First-Ever Short-Form Digital Festival in Hollywood, CA – May 7, 2016

Sarasota, FL -- SOURCE PRODUCTIONS of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida  has been accepted to OUT Web Fest (OWF), Hollywood's first-ever web festival dedicated to celebrating short-form content created by and for the LGBTQ community. OWF celebrates its first annual event on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

This new media festival offers a global platform to champion and highlight queer-centric stories and provide opportunities for visibility, networking, and celebration of their artistic endeavors. In being selected for OWF 2016, SOURCE PRODUCTIONS  joins the ranks of other high-profile entrants accepted.

"We are so pleased to be accepted into Out Web Fest! ‘When the Party Ends’ is a powerful film that lifts up the need for comprehensive sexual health education, drawing its connection to the health and wellbeing of all our communities.  This is exactly the kind of platform we were hoping for for our film; we look forward to sharing our film and story with LGBTQ audiences across the world," said film director and screenwriter KT Curran.

As LA's premier LGBTQ new media digital festival, this one-day event will feature screenings and panels with industry experts at the Louis B. Mayer Library on the iconic campus of the American Film Institute, concluding with an awards ceremony and closing night party at The Station at the W Hotel in Hollywood.

OWF bridges movers and shakers from within the LGBTQ and allied communities with the media, entertainment and tech industries to showcase the unique voices and stories of the community as told through dynamic and innovative, digital storytelling.

“Even though Hollywood overall suffers from a systemic problem with diversity and inclusion, we were blown away by the sheer quality and spectrum of people, places and personal stories represented from the global creator community,” said Wadooah Wali, Head of Programming for OUT Web Fest, “We were completely entertained by the creativity and passion that came through this year’s submissions and already look forward to what the next year brings.”

OUT Web Fest’s mission is to provide the opportunity for all LGBTQ content creators to connect with the global community and celebrate the progressive evolution of queer-centric entertainment.
