Anna V. Eskamani Receives 2016 School of Public Administration's Alumni Achievement Award
For Immediate Release: May 2, 2016
Orlando, FL -- The College of Health and Public Affairs (COHPA) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) has selected Anna V. Eskamani to receive their 2016 “Alumni Achievement Award” in the program of Nonprofit Management. Eskamani serves as the Senior Director of Public Affairs and FIeld Operations for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida.
The School of Public Administration annually presents the “Alumni Achievement Awards” to one alumna/alumnus from each of the school’s five programmatic areas. These awards are for alumni who have demonstrated consistent excellence in their careers and leadership in the field of public administration. Award recipients should have made significant contributions to their chosen profession, as well as furthering the school’s goals of improving the ability of public, not-for-profit, and private organizations to address the most difficult challenges facing society.
Below is a statement from Eskamani on this recognition:
“I am both thrilled and honored to be recognized by the School of Public Administration through such a meaningful way. Growing up in Central Florida, UCF has always been my second home. I remember as a child playing on Reflecting Pond and running through the library looking for books I could read. Receiving this Alumni Achievement Award means that I have demonstrated excellence in the field of public service and have earned the respect of both my colleagues and mentors. I am eternally grateful for this support and look forward to contributing back to the University of Central Florida.”
