Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), also known as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), are infections that are passed from one person to another during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. They’re really common and lots of people who have them don’t have any symptoms. STIs can be dangerous, but the good news is that getting tested is no big deal and most are easy to treat. Q&A

How do I know if I qualify?
  • You must be a resident of Lee or Collier County or make the appointment at the Naples or Fort Myers health center.
  • If you do not have insurance, or your insurance does not cover the total, you qualify.
How do I get the funding?
  • If you make your appointment online, make sure you mention that you’re interested in the Access Fund covering the cost of your appointment when you are taken to the exam room. 
  • If you call to make your appointment, you can ask the representative scheduling you about the Access Fund.  
  • If you have a Telehealth appointment (a virtual visit online), be sure you mention the Access Fund to cover the cost of your services.​
If I don’t like the new birth control method I chose, what do I do? 

Don’t worry, just make a follow-up appointment to discuss your concerns with one of our providers. Please inform our staff during scheduling or at the time of appointment that you will be utilizing the Access Fund to cover the cost again.
