Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you do not have health insurance, or you do not wish to use your health insurance during your visit, you have the right to a cost estimate for your care. Planned Parenthood of Southern New England will send you an estimate for the total expected cost after you schedule your appointment.

You are not required to receive all the services listed on your estimate, and actual expenses may differ. Your total cost may be less than what is quoted once we learn more about your health care needs during your visit. You may be eligible for additional discounts or we may be able to help you enroll in programs to cover some of your expenses.

We're here for you — your health care is important to us. No one will be denied care because of an inability to pay.

What if I am not ready to book an appointment?

We will provide a cost estimate of charges if you call to request one. The estimate will include the services you request and any additional care related to those services.

What if I need additional care during my visit?

During your appointment, you may request additional services or we may recommend additional services that require a separate appointment. These services are not included in your cost estimate. We may issue a separate estimate for those services by request or when you make another appointment.

What if this is a last-minute appointment?

If you schedule an appointment within the next three business days, you can contact our Call Center at 1-800-230-7526 for an estimate of your cost, or ask for a cost estimate at the health center when you arrive for your visit.

Dispute process: if you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your total cost estimate, you have the right to dispute it. Contact our billing customer support at 1-844-318-9920 and learn more about the dispute process.
