There are many ways to include PPSNE in your life or estate plans. You can choose to include PPSNE in your will or trust; provide for PPSNE through a retirement plan, insurance policy, bank/investment accounts, and real estate; or you can give a gift that provides you with income for life.

We have outlined a few options below. There are also other ways you can create a lasting legacy through PPSNE. Please feel free to contact us directly, or have your financial advisor get in touch with us for more information, at (203) 506-9108 or [email protected].

Hepburn/Potter Legacy Society

Members of the Hepburn/Potter Legacy Society receive special benefits, including a members-only annual briefing by the President and CEO of PPSNE. And with your permission, you will be recognized in our annual report as an integral part of our mission.

If you have already included PPSNE in your life or estate plans, please let us know so we can thank you and welcome you into the Hepburn Potter Legacy Society. Our members believe in PPSNE and its service to our communities and have provided for PPSNE in their long-term plans. Each commitment is vital to PPSNE's future.

Bequest

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England can be named in your will as a charitable beneficiary for a specific bequest of a particular dollar amount or asset, a residuary bequest for all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses and specific bequests, or a contingent bequest in your will or trust document.

If you wish to include PPSNE in your will, your attorney may wish to include the following language: I hereby give, devise and bequeath to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, with its principal offices at 345 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut 06511, ($ ________ or description of specific asset or __% of the rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal), to be used for its general purposes.

Life Insurance and Retirement Plans

Naming PPSNE as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your life insurance policy is a simple way to give toward creating a legacy. By naming a charitable organization like PPSNE the beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or other federally recognized retirement plan, you can help minimize estate, income and generation-skipping taxes on those funds. Use Tax ID Number: 06-0263565.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is both an annuity and a charitable gift. You make a gift to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England and, in return, PPSNE agrees to make fixed payments to you or your designated beneficiary for life. The gift agreement is a simple contract between you and Planned Parenthood. Your payments become one of our general obligations, fully backed by our assets, and will not fluctuate.
