Out for Health is our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) health and wellness program that provides outreach, education, and information to LGBT people, their health care providers, and the community at large about the importance of inclusive, welcoming, and respectful care or LGBT people. projectCAP is a coalition of area organizations dedicated to reducing teen pregnancy in our community. As an abstinence-based program, our focus is on various teen issues and works with high school and middle school students, parent and teacher groups, as well as groups and agencies outside of schools. projectCAP also provides referrals to free health center services for teens residing in Elmira. Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC)
SARC is the only rape crisis program serving Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben counties. We are regional leaders in providing comprehensive, free services that include a 24-hour hotline and 24-hour medical advocacy, legal advocacy, and counseling. With the help of our professional staff and trained volunteers, SARC accompanies victims to the hospital, provides counseling, and offers assistance through confusing legal proceedings.
