Teaching_Transgender_Toolkit_Cover.jpgOur 1st Teaching Transgender Toolkit Training of Trainers will be on June 26-28 in Ithaca, New York.  

 Are you a professional looking to:

By popular demand, Eli Green and Luca Maurer, authors of The Teaching Transgender Toolkit will be leading a Training of Trainers (TOT) for professionals who would like to increase their skills, tools, and effectiveness teaching transgender topics.  Participants will receive training in the current best practices in teaching transgender content, have opportunities to practice teaching, and will receive customized guidance to support implementation.   

WHEN:  Sunday, June 26th at 2:00 p.m. through Tuesday, June 28th at 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Ithaca, New York

Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes' Training Center

WHO: Professionals with experience providing training and familiarity and comfort with transgender topics is essential.

Limited to 12 Participants, please register early!

Cost: $425 (Includes all training materials, a copy of The Teaching Transgender Toolkit, and refreshments on Sunday, breakfast, lunch, and snacks on Monday and Tuesday.)  

Accommodations: Participants will make their own arrangements for accommodations. We do have a block  of rooms available at The Hilton Garden Inn 130 East State Street in Ithaca NY. All reservations for this block of rooms must be made by May 27th. 

A limited number of partial scholarships will be made available for those who need financial support to attend. Priority will be given to professionals who are: transgender, people of color, from under represented/high need areas, and/or do not have sponsorship from an organization to attend.  

This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 17 CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification.  If you wish to receive CE credits, there is an additional $100 fee.
