The goal of sexuality education is to promote sexual health and well-being. This includes supporting healthy, responsible and positive life experiences, as well as preventing disease and unintended pregnancy. The Education and Professional Development Department at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania provides sexuality education programs for pre-adolescents, adolescents, parents and professionals in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Our education programs are founded on the belief that sexuality is a normal and healthy part of human development, one that begins at birth and continues throughout the life cycle. Sexuality education is most meaningful and effective when it provides information, explores values and feelings and develops skills.
The Education and Profesional Development Department offers an array of programs and resources to meet your needs in the critical, but often challenging, arena of sexuality and sexuality education. These include:
- sexuality education for pre-adolescents, teens and parents/caregivers
- professional training and development of youth serving and other professionals
