External Affairs Administrative Coordinator:

Make a difference in people’s lives!  Join Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as an External Affairs Administrative Coordinator in this part-time, 14 hour/week position.  The Coordinator will be responsible to develop, coordinate, maintain, and seek to continually improve the administrative infrastructure of essential External Affairs functions, primarily focused on the Volunteer Program, but also including general support for the department in areas such as legislative and media outreach, and coalition-building and grassroots organizing.  This position works directly with the Community Resources Manager to maintain, extend and evaluate the agency volunteer program.
 
The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills; excellent written/oral communication and customer service skills; the ability to work independently, to juggle multiple priorities, to take initiative to address issues with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented, demonstrate professionalism at all times, and to be a team-player.  Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and the use of the Internet.  A bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of professional experience preferred.  This position will be located at our location in Center City Philadelphia.  Bilingual candidates and people of color are encouraged to apply.

Inventory Coordinator:

Make a difference in people’s lives!  Join Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as an Inventory Coordinator in this part-time, three (3) day/21 hour week position.  The Coordinator will be responsible for ordering, receiving and distributing all goods, materials and pharmaceuticals; maintaining pharmaceutical inventory at warehouse and centers; assist with annual inventory audit; and assist the Facilities Manager in researching pricing and managing the competitive bidding process
 
The successful candidate must have experience in the pharmaceutical or health care industry and possess excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and customer service skills; arithmetic, analytical, and problem solving skills; office systems skills including the use of basic Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook); and the demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.  This position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, pay attention to details, work well under stress, meet deadlines, work independently and take initiative to address issues with minimal supervision and demonstrate professionalism at all times.  Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.
 
A high school diploma or equivalent is required with relevant post-secondary education program experience in bookkeeping or general business.  Two years of equivalent pharmaceutical or health care environment experience is preferred.  This position will be located at our location in Far Northeast Philadelphia and may require the ability to travel to other PPSP sites as needed.  Bilingual candidates and people of color are encouraged to apply.

Coordinator of Provider Relationships:

Make a difference in people’s lives!  Join Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as a Coordinator of Provider Relationships in this full-time, benefits eligible position.  The Coordinator will be responsible for outreach efforts to secure relationships with health care providers (e.g., private physicians and FQHCs) and other community-based referral sources in PPSP’s markets, to support expansion of PPSP service delivery.  The Coordinator is also responsible for identifying and coordinating high-return direct patient outreach opportunities, including those that leverage existing and new referral relationships.
 
Candidates must have experience in the pharmaceutical or health care industry; college graduates preferred; must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, use of the Internet, and word processing/typing; must have demonstrated experience identifying, cultivating and managing business relationships (e.g. sales, contracts, relationship management); must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, meet deadlines, work independently and take initiative to address issues with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.  This position requires flexible hours, may include work on evenings and Saturdays, and requires ability to travel to other PPSP sites as needed.  Bilingual candidates and people of color are encouraged to apply.

Surgical RN

The Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible to provide excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals and in compliance with federal, state, and PPFA regulations.  In addition, this position is also responsible to provide nursing care to patients during procedures in the recovery area.

Candidates must have a BSN and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania with OB/GYN or emergency room experience preferred; working knowledge of contraception technology required; demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with clients, previous experience interviewing and educating patients; ability to intervene in crisis situations; and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a medical emergency.  Our available full-time, part-time, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:

  • Far Northeast Health Center (SUFN), Philadelphia – part time, benefit-eligible position, 25 hours/week (Wednesday, Friday & Saturday)
  • Norristown Health Center (SUNO), Montgomery County – part-time, 7 hours/week (Thursday)
  • NOTE:  The SUFN & SUNO hours may be combined into a 32 hour, benefits eligible part-time position.

Year round we are able to offer a variety of internships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about our community outreach, education, marketing, research, and advocacy work. If you are interested in an internship, please email [email protected] with your resume and a cover letter describing what you would like to get out of an internship with PPSP. Someone will follow up with you to discuss available positions.

Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs; while we host clinical rotations for medical residents and advanced practice nurses from select institutions, we are unable to host medical assistant externships at this time.
