Call Center Representative
Create a positive first impression with callers by providing professional, efficient, and caring service, answering questions and scheduling healthcare appointments for multiple centers in a very busy atmosphere. Required: high school diploma or equivalent; strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Advanced ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and Spanish is preferred. Candidates must be outgoing, professional, possess a positive attitude, be available to work on Saturdays, show excellent judgment in highly confidential situations and have proven ability to multi-task and contribute effectively in a team environment. We have a part-time, 21 hour/week position available in our Call Center in Center City Philadelphia.

The full-time Security Officer would work at our centers in Center City and may be required to work at our centers in Far Northeast Philadelphia; Norristown, Montgomery County; and West Chester, Chester County. The Security Officer will provide a secure environment as well as a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all staff, patients and visitors. Other duties may include monitoring the entrance to buildings at all times, monitoring other centers as needed during business hours, screening all persons and packages entering the buildings, and, in conjunction with the Director of Facilities, may develop and implement practices and procedures for the safety and security of all PPSP facilities and events.
This position requires flexible hours, includes work on evenings and Saturdays, and requires ability to travel to other PPSP sites as needed. Must be certified under PA Act 235. High School Diploma and a minimum of five years of experience in security/law enforcement required; health care security experience desirable. Clinician (Nurse Practitioner):
The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men. Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.
Candidates must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD’s, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options, counseling experience is essential, and experience in male examination is desirable. Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State. Our available full-time, part-time, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:

Internships and Externships

Year round we are able to offer a variety of internships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about our community outreach, education, marketing, research, and advocacy work. If you are interested in an internship, please email [email protected] with your resume and a cover letter describing what you would like to get out of an internship with PPSP. Someone will follow up with you to discuss available positions.
Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs; while we host clinical rotations for medical residents and advanced practice nurses from select institutions, we are unable to host medical assistant externships at this time.
Marketing and Community Outreach Internships available now
Support the PPSP Marketing Department in promoting reproductive health services in the Upper Darby community. Increase awareness and provide education on basic sexual health information by connecting with local residents and community organizations. Help organize and represent PPSP at community outreach events, including canvasses, street fairs, health fairs, dinners, receptions, workshops, and other events.
