Grassroots Organizer:

The full-time, 35 hours/weeks Grassroots Organizer position will support and expand the programmatic work of the External Affairs Department by developing grassroots advocates through in-person events, online organizing, and activist training.  The Grassroots Organizer will participate in developing strategies and activities to build activists’ skills, and to cultivate activists as organizational assets to increase our visibility, promote our issues and services, and broaden our advocacy base.
 
The Organizer must excel in relationship-building, be results-oriented, and have strong project management skills.  The successful candidate must possess: excellent written/oral communication abilities, including an energetic, positive, and outgoing attitude with excellent customer services skills; strong internet research skills and strong organizational skills and general knowledge of the legislative and political process are a must; working knowledge of online advocacy and grassroots organizing systems, e.g. Convio, VAN, Constant Contact, are a plus; demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a part of a team, to juggle multiple priorities, to take initiative, to take risks, to engage communities in meaningful advocacy systems, to be willing to travel and accept a flexible work schedule that includes evening and weekend commitments and must have access to a car.
 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with at least one cycle of issues-based or political campaign experience strongly preferred.

Clinical Research Operations Manager

If you are a mission-driven professional who is passionate about reproductive healthcare, consider joining us as Clinical Research Operations Manager.  You will plan, implement and supervise day-to-day research operations to ensure compliance with study protocols, regulatory policies and ambitious quality, productivity and budgetary goals.  You must have a Master’s degree and 3-plus years of clinical research experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5-plus years of clinical research experience; plus excellent organizational skills and research-related technical abilities (including EDC and IRB submissions).  Supervision experience is a strong plus.  This part-time, 21 hour/week position is based in Philadelphia and requires some travel to our clinical sites in surrounding counties.  This is not a position for candidates looking to telecommute.

Floater Clinician (Nurse Practitioner)

The Floater Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men.  Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.
 
Candidates must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD’s, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options, counseling experience is essential, and experience in male examination is desirable.  Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State.  Our available full-time, part-time, floater, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:
·         Floater Clinician – Will be scheduled to work at health centers across the four county area of Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.  This is a part-time, 7 hours/week position

Year round we are able to offer a variety of internships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about our community outreach, education, marketing, research, and advocacy work. If you are interested in an internship, please email [email protected] with your resume and a cover letter describing what you would like to get out of an internship with PPSP. Someone will follow up with you to discuss available positions.

Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs; while we host clinical rotations for medical residents and advanced practice nurses from select institutions, we are unable to host medical assistant externships at this time.
