Clinical Research Coordinator

Make a difference in people’s lives!  Join Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania as a Clinical Research Coordinator in this full-time, benefits eligible position.  The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in and coordination of Phase II-IV clinical research studies.  Specific areas of responsibility include subject recruitment and enrollment, protocol maintenance, shipping, data entry, and document/file management.  This position requires strong motivation, organizational skills, autonomy, and self-direction.
 
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalency, college graduates preferred; must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, use of the Internet, and word processing/typing; must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, meet deadlines, work independently and take initiative to address issues with minimal supervision, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.  This position requires flexible hours, may include work on evenings and Saturdays, and requires ability to travel to other PPSP sites as needed.

Clinical Research Operations Manager

If you are a mission-driven professional who is passionate about reproductive healthcare, consider joining us as Clinical Research Operations Manager.  You will plan, implement and supervise day-to-day research operations to ensure compliance with study protocols, regulatory policies and ambitious quality, productivity and budgetary goals.  You must have a Master’s degree and 3-plus years of clinical research experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5-plus years of clinical research experience; plus excellent organizational skills and research-related technical abilities (including EDC and IRB submissions).  Supervision experience is a strong plus.  This part-time, 21 hour/week position is based in Philadelphia and requires some travel to our clinical sites in surrounding counties.  This is not a position for candidates looking to telecommute.

Clinician (Nurse Practitioner)

The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men.  Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.

Candidates must be licensed or certified as a NURSE PRACTITIONER in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD’s, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options, counseling experience is essential, and experience in male examination is desirable.  Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State.  Our available full-time, part-time, floater, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:

  • Clinician – Will be scheduled to work every other Thursday at our Center City Philadelphia Health Center.  This is a part-time, 7 hours/every other week position

Floater Clinician (Nurse Practitioner)

The Floater Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men.  Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.

·         Floater Clinician – Will be scheduled to work at health centers across the four county area of Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.  This is a part-time, 14 hours/week position

Health Center Assistant

Surgical Locust Health Center (SULO), Center City Philadelphia, – part-time, benefit eligible, 25 hour/week position

Reimbursement Specialist

Consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as a Reimbursement Specialist.  This position will coordinate third party reimbursements for assigned areas and for selected payers groups/financial classes; lead or direct the work of Billing Specialists; and perform all billing and collection functions for selected payer groups/financial classes.

Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred; and 3-5 years’ experience in medical billing and A/R management.  Must have the ability to handle confidential materials relating to a variety of individuals; thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment; work independently to include handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously; and work with multiple departments.  Excellent communication, documentation, follow-up, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills also required.

Year round we are able to offer a variety of internships for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about our community outreach, education, marketing, research, and advocacy work. If you are interested in an internship, please email [email protected] with your resume and a cover letter describing what you would like to get out of an internship with PPSP. Someone will follow up with you to discuss available positions.

Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs; while we host clinical rotations for medical residents and advanced practice nurses from select institutions, we are unable to host medical assistant externships at this time.
