Director of Organizational Development:

PPSP is searching for a Director of Organizational Development.  This position is responsible for working with internal partners to establish, align and improve organizational processes and systems to advance organizational effectiveness.  This includes leadership of agency-wide employee engagement efforts, on which the Director collaborates closely with the Directors of Equity and Inclusion and Human Resources and the senior and core management teams.  This is a 25-hour/week, benefits-eligible position, reporting to the President and CEO.

A Bachelor’s Degree in organizational development, management, human resources, psychology or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.  Also required is a minimum of 5 years of experience developing strategies and implementing programs to enhance organizational effectiveness; a minimum 5 years of management experience, including supervisory responsibilities; and a demonstrated ability to guide relationships, partner with key stakeholders, deliver solutions that meet organizational needs and motivate and inspire engagement at all levels.

Inventory Coordinator
The Inventory Coordinator is a part-time, 14 hour/week position working from our Warehouse in Far Northeast Philadelphia.  This position is responsible for ordering, receiving and distributing all goods, materials and pharmaceuticals requested by PPSP administrative and program staff; monthly pharmaceutical inventory at warehouse and centers and, as needed, assists with annual inventory audit; assists Facilities Manager in researching pricing and managing the competitive bidding process; and performs other tasks at the direction of the Facilities Manager.


A High School diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education program (bookkeeping, general business) or approximately two years of equivalent medical environment experience preferred.  In addition, candidate must possess excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and customer service skills; arithmetic, analytical, and problem solving skills, and office systems skills including the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).  Must perform well under street, be able to work independently, and pay close attention to details.  Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrate flexibility and teamwork, and incorporate customer satisfaction into all aspects of operation.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.  Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.

Health Center Assistant:

  • Pottstown Health Center (POHC), Montgomery County – part-time, benefits eligible, 27.5 hour/week position: every Monday-Friday

Health Services Intake Interviewer:

The Health Services Intake Interviewer (HSII) is a member of our Transgender Health Services (THS) team.  Our THS team provides sexual and reproductive health care for transgender patients, including gender-affirming hormone therapy on an informed-consent basis; self-injection training; and resources and referrals to a full range of transgender services.  As an HSII you would conduct initial intake interviews, in person or via videoconference, with PPSP patients seeking to medically transition; perform psychosocial assessment of patient’s readiness for medical transition and guide patient in the informed consent process for hormone therapy; document interview information and outcomes in the patient’s electronic health record; participate in PPSP’s Transgender Health Services Team meetings, and be expected to stay current on general trends in transgender health care.

A Master of Social Work is required and a LCSW is preferred.  Highly preferred are experience communicating with persons of diverse backgrounds in an empathetic, nonjudgmental manner; experience mastering content and procedures and educating others in same; experience providing patient care and education in family planning and sexual health; and experience with NextGen or similar Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Clinician (Nurse Practitioner):

The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men. Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.

Candidates must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD’s, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options, counseling experience is essential, and experience in male examination is desirable. Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State. Our available full-time, part-time, floater, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:

  • Castor Avenue (CAHC), Northeast Philadelphia – part-time, 5 hour/week position on Saturday.
  • Norristown (NOHC), Montgomery County – part-time, 5.5 hour/week position on Saturday.
  • Upper Darby (UDHC), Delaware County – full-time, benefits eligible, 35 hour/week position working Monday-Friday.

On-Call Surgical RN:

The on-call, per-diem, Surgical Registered Nurse (BSN) is responsible to provide excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations. In addition, this position is also responsible to provide nursing care to patients during procedures and in the recovery area.

This position requires a candidate with a BSN Degree, Pennsylvania RN License, BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications and with OB/GYN or emergency room experience preferred; working knowledge of contraceptive technology required; demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with clients; previous experience interviewing and educating patients; ability to intervene in crisis situations, and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a medical emergency.

Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs.
