Clinician (Nurse Practitioner):

The Clinician will function in an expanded role in the provision of reproductive health care for women and men. Job duties include, under written Standing Orders of the Medical Director, performing and supervising medical aspects of patient care in contraceptive center in accordance with PPSP Standing Orders and policies and procedures.

Candidates must be licensed or certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent; must have experience in reproductive health care including STD’s, contraception, pregnancy sizing and options, counseling experience is essential, and experience in male examination is desirable. Malpractice coverage assumed by clinician if individual coverage required by the State. Our available full-time, part-time, floater, and on-call (per diem or as needed) positions are listed below by location:

  • Castor Avenue (CAHC). Northeast Philadelphia – full-time, benefits eligible 35 hour/week position.
  • Castor Avenue (CAHC), Northeast Philadelphia – part-time, 5 hour/week position on Saturday.
  • Norristown (NOHC), Montgomery County – part-time, 5.5 hour/week position on Saturday.

Floater Clinician

Are you passionate about community access to high-quality health services and information? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing urgently-needed services to adults and teens and medical leadership to a diverse and talented team? If so, consider joining Planned Parenthood as a reproductive health center clinician. You will be supported by a superior orientation and training program and a responsive management team who shares your passion for your patients.

You must be licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania with training in a recognized program or its equivalent.  A minimum of two (2) years of clinical practice is required.  You must possess strong clinical skills and experience and/or interest in reproductive healthcare, women’s healthcare, and family planning, to include STI’s, contraceptive, pregnancy sizing, and options counseling.  Experience in male examination is desirable.

Institutional Giving Coordinator

If you are passionate about reproductive health and the opportunity to contribute in a mission-driven environment, consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as Institutional Giving Coordinator.  This is a part-time, 21 hour/week position responsible for all aspects of PPSP’s foundation, corporate, and organizational fundraising; including the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of institutional donors and prospects, with an emphasis on securing and renewing gifts of $5,000 and above.  This position is also occasionally responsible for the preparation of proposal narratives and reports relating to program specific gifts from individuals. 

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, three+ years’ experience with grant writing and institutional relations; outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and handle multiple and overlapping deadlines, complex reporting requirements, and manage multiple gifts from single entities; ability to function independently and collaboratively while contributing to the Development Department’s goals; experience using fundraising software, preferably Salesforce; and proficiency in Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of local grant makers and leading philanthropists a plus; as is experience working within a health care environment.

Purchasing & Inventory Assistant Manager

The Purchasing & Inventory Assistant Manager position is full-time, 35 hours/week and responsible for ordering, receiving, and distributing all goods, materials and pharmaceuticals requested by affiliate administrative and program staff; monthly pharmaceutical inventory at warehouse and centers and annual inventory audit; training staff assigned to ordering at all centers; and to act as department Charge Person as needed.  This position is also responsible to manage the eMapp ordering system including all vendor relationships and formulary discount management for 340B and 318 including HIN numbers; coordinate all formulary decision with Lead Clinician at both affiliates; relay changes to Next Gen administrators as needed; prepare monthly financial and inventory reports; and to research pricing and manage the competitive bidding process. 

Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent with relevant post-secondary education program or approximately two years of equivalent medical environment experience; outstanding written/oral communication, organizational, and customer service skills; arithmetic, analytical, and problem solving skills; advanced computer skills, including mastery of the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new applications quickly.  Must perform well under stress, be able to work independently and collaboratively, and pay close attention to details.  Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrate flexibility and teamwork, and incorporate customer satisfaction into all aspects of operation.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.  Experience with Afaxyx, eMapp, and QuickBooks accounting software is a plus.

Vice President for External Affairs

If you are passionate about reproductive health and the opportunity to contribute in a mission-driven environment, consider joining PPSP as Vice President of External Affairs.  This is a full-time position, reports to the President/CEO, supports a committed Board of Directors, serves as a member of senior leadership, oversees a staff of four, and provides strategic leadership, direction, and management for all aspects of PPSP’s external affairs initiatives.

Key priorities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) create, evaluate and advance partnerships and communications that shape the climate in which PPSP pursues its goals and provides its programs, along with those that mobilize and increase community support for PPSP issues and services; 2) direct governmental relations, political organizing to include working directly with our state office on electoral activities in southeastern PA, public advocacy and media efforts; and 3) manage External Affairs staff and volunteers. 

Successful candidate will possess extremely well developed written and verbal communications skills, along with direct experience with public affairs programs, media relations, government processes, campaign, lobbying and community/political organizing programs.  Must understand the goals and philosophies of Planned Parenthood, be committed to providing quality healthcare, excellent customer service, and be able and willing to perform all of the essential functions of the position.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in related area; 5+ years of leadership experience in government relations, lobbying, political advocacy, grassroots organizing and media messaging; significant management and supervisory experience also required.

Our capacity to host students is limited by our available staff and our patients' needs. At this time, Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania provides clinical placements for medical residents and medical fellows only.
