Vicki Cowart, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, (PPRM) Statement on the Passing of Sheri Tepper

DENVER, CO—Sheri Tepper, former Executive Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (1962-1986) passed away on Oct. 22, 2016. The statement below is attributable to Vicki Cowart, President and CEO of PPRM.

“It is with great sadness that I learned of Sheri’s passing. She was an author, poet, feminist, trailblazer, role model, and a true friend to all women. During her time at Planned Parenthood, Sheri was a fierce advocate for family-planning services and ensuring low-income women could get high-quality affordable health care. Our organization grew immensely under her leadership; her contributions to the reproductive health movement made impacts across the entire country and will never be forgotten. Our hearts are with all of Sheri's family during this time. The entire Planned Parenthood family mourns the loss of this incredible champion.”
