Planned Parenthood Responds to False Claims

 

DENVER, CO-- Planned Parenthood is the most trusted women’s health care provider in this country. We have provided birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, disease prevention and treatment, and abortion care in Colorado for 99 years.  One in five women in the US reports having been to Planned Parenthood for care, and women the world over have benefitted from our education, advocacy, and clinical services.

 

The videos generated by the discredited “Center for Medical Progress” are a fraud aimed at single purpose: to end women's access to reproductive health care, including medically safe and legal abortion, and to damage Planned Parenthood.

 

The vast majority of the public rejects this outlandish political agenda and the fraudulent campaign behind it. The extremists responsible for these videos continue to make their baseless allegations with false claims and political theater.  Around the country, state attorneys general have either cleared Planned Parenthood of wrongdoing, or seen the fraudulent videos for what they are and declined to pursue investigations.   We are pleased that Colorado, like the Planned Parenthood staff who confronted these imposters, has declined to take their bait.
