Day is a mark of reproductive freedom

DENVER – In honor of the landmark Jan. 22, 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case granting a woman’s right to privacy when making personal health care decisions including the constitutional right to an abortion, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains will host an open house as its Boulder health center on Jan. 14.

“The 1973 Roe v. Wade decision allowed women to participate fully and equally in society,” said Vicki Cowart, CEO and President of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.  “Despite enduring years of attacks, this monumental decision still stands as the law of the land and remains one of the most politically significant events in Supreme Court history.  PPRM is proud to celebrate this anniversary symbolically and figuratively – many women rely on Roe to protect their health.”
