Nurses are vital to the health and well-being of our communities, and that is more evident than ever as we battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today on National Nurses Day, and as we launch into National Nurses Week (May 6-12), I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley nurses. Thank you for showing up for our communities and providing patients with the care they need, no matter what.
Planned Parenthood nurses and medical provider staff have been working around the clock to keep our doors open and make sure people are able to receive the reproductive and sexual health care they need during this health crisis. And for that, I want to say thank you.
Check out the video featuring actress and Planned Parenthood supporter, Sharmila Devar, along with allies and volunteers, who wanted to extend their appreciation for our incredible health center staff.
From the positive responses we’ve received from our community and patients, we know that our services are needed now more than ever. Here’s just one example of the compassionate and non-judgmental care our health center staff provides to our patients:
“Our patients are thankful they have us to talk to and make sure that their symptoms are what they think they are. People know their bodies and can detect if there’s something different or if something is not right. It’s empowering for them to be able to hold an appointment via telehealth or in-person, and get the essential care they desperately need.”
Show your support for Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley by making an appointment at pppsgv.org or calling us at (626) 798-0706 if you need assistance navigating care.
Again, thank you to all our health center staff for your continued loyalty. Know that your community stands with you today and every day.
