There's a lot at stake with this election. The U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) heard oral arguments in the case of June Medical Services v. Russo today, a case that represents a major turning point in the fight for reproductive freedom.

This is the first time the Court will be considering an abortion restriction since Trump appointed Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch to the Court. The case is a challenge to a harmful Louisiana law that was designed to close clinics and limit access to abortion by requiring doctors who perform an abortion to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of where they provide abortion care.

The outcome of this case could impact the future of abortion rights across the United States. To help remind us what's at stake, we'll be posting a new patient testimonial every week.

"When I was unaware of the dangers of having unprotected sex or uneducated with my sexual health, my local Planned Parenthood Health Center took the time to educate me patiently, calmly, and in a way in which I felt more in control of my sexual health. They made me feel strong when I felt weak. I am forever grateful for them."
