Grateful For You

As we officially enter the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to offer my gratitude to you – our incredible Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley (PPPSGV) supporters.
To our patients who entrust in us to provide them with the care they need, our donors who help fund the work we do every day, our volunteers who give their time to help us fulfill our mission, our community partners who rally alongside us, and so many more people who are a part of our community. I appreciate you standing with us and sharing the belief that every person is entitled to high-quality, compassionate, and affordable sexual and reproductive care and that access to safe abortion is a right.
For those reasons and so many more, I thank you.
These past few weeks, I've heard so many stories about how our health center staff have gone above and beyond to take care of our patients and community. Here is one of those stories:
"At possibly one of the most emotionally and physically difficult times in my life, Planned Parenthood offered their support. I got pregnant by my long-term boyfriend, and although I live in California, I felt ashamed, scared and I floundered. Not only did Planned Parenthood support my need for an abortion, they supplied me with affordable options. I took the pill option at home, and it left me feeling highly vulnerable and exposed. Planned Parenthood nurses informed me that my feelings were normal, and they stayed as I cried. When it was done, I felt relieved and supported. I felt for the first time in a long time -- okay. Planned Parenthood was there for me." – PPPSGV Patient
This is just one story of many. We have an incredible team of health care heroes who take the time to provide individualized care to our patients and offer them support when they need it most. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and abortion access being under attack, they've continued to push forward because the essential care we provide at PPPPSGV is just that important.
I'm so grateful and proud of our entire team. Their commitment is truly inspiring. And the work we do at PPPSGV isn’t possible without you. Your support allows us to provide the best care possible to anyone who needs it.
I want to offer my deepest gratitude to all of you for being part of our PPPSGV community. You standing with us makes us stronger.
