The number of reportable STDs in California is rising at a faster pace compared to the rest of the country, and is at a 20-year high,” according to a report released today by the California Department of Public Health.

Planned Parenthood is one of the main providers of STD testing and treatment in San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties. We provided more than 260,000 STD tests last year in our three-county region. Dr. Sierra Washington, our medical director, and Janeen Burlison, our director of quality management, are available to do on-camera or telephone interviews today and tomorrow to discuss STD infection rates and related issues.
