2. Get paid well for doing good
Here at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, we pay market rate for all our positions including our physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Plus, we pay a $45,000 bonus for working at our Coachella and Rancho Mirage centers.
3. Robust training program
Our training program is very robust and rigorous, spanning four months! Our new physician assistants and nurse practitioners start with three weeks of classroom training that includes our electronic health record system, non-exam visits, and an introduction into advanced skills. Then the new nurse practitioners and physician assistants go into the health center to receive 200 hours of peer-to-peer training with a health center training team. It is such an extensive program, we have had new clinicians compare it to a fellowship! A rare opportunity for new graduates and seasoned providers alike!
