Planned Parenthood is excited to debut “Spot On Nightly,” a one-night-only talk show about taking control of your period and learning more about your menstrual cycle with our popular period and birth control tracking app, Spot On.

Watch “Spot On Nightly”

“Spot On Nightly” is hosted by actress and comedian Sasheer Zamata (formerly of Saturday Night Live) and features editor and non-binary advocate Tyler Ford, student activist and organizer Deja Foxx, beauty blogger and PCOS advocate Jasmine Airdelle, health care professional and endometriosis advocate April Christina, and creator and mental health advocate Melanie Santos — each talking about their unique period experiences and how Spot On helps them stay on top of their cycle.

“Spot On Nightly” puts front and center what we don’t talk about enough: periods and birth control. From cravings to hormones to self-care, the questions and content on the show reflect guests’ real-life (and not always glamorous) experiences with their cycles.

The talk show also walks you through some of the updated features in the Spot On app, such as guidance on what to do if you forget to take your birth control and how to get back on track.

“Spot On Nightly” was directed by Sadé Clacken Joseph (co-director of “Ponyboi”) and co-created with ad agency R/GA.

Anyone who wants to better understand their cycle can also participate in Spot On’s #30NightChallenge: Just use the app to track your cycle and symptoms for 30 nights to stay on top of your period, birth control method, and the sometimes unpredictable symptoms that pop up for both.

Spot On doesn’t make any assumptions about your gender, sexual orientation, or reproductive goals. Our app talks about your period and birth control the way real people do (so, no pink flowers or butterflies). The app is fun, playful, gender neutral, nonjudgmental, and completely supportive of you and your cycle.

Spot On is free and available for both Apple and Android users. All users can enjoy a premium experience without ads or the need to purchase any upgrades.

Planned Parenthood is committed to providing accurate, personalized sexual and reproductive health information to as many people as possible, no matter where they are. Spot On is one of the innovative ways we are getting people the information and care they need to understand their bodies, stay healthy, and reach their life goals — whether that’s in a health center or via their phone.

Since its launch in 2016, Spot On has been downloaded over 2 million times. Spot On won a 2017 Fast Company Innovation by Design Award, and was selected as a Gold Honoree for Best Mobile App in the ninth annual Shorty Awards.
