On January 22, 1973 a landmark decision was made in the U.S. Supreme Court during the famous Roe v. Wade case, which made abortion safe and legal. In addition to the efforts being made in progressive states to protect the ruling from this case, we’d also like to lift up all the good work happening in our local communities. Let’s commemorate the anniversary of such a groundbreaking historical moment and help build awareness of the importance of Roe v. Wade through events happening in the area. Bring a friend and have some fun! Here is information on upcoming events you can attend:

The decision made during this case is still to this day a key component in protecting reproductive rights. As we celebrate the upcoming 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, it is more important than ever to support state policies that protect safe, legal abortion. With Brett Kavanaugh on the U.S. Supreme Court and over 400 state abortion restrictions enacted since 2011, abortion access is still on the line. What better way to protect Roe v. Wade than by ensuring we expand access to safe, legal abortion in California? Planned Parenthood, with state advocates, will double down on passing policies that address these barriers in order to ensure every person can access the health care they want and need.
