If you’re a fan of “Forever Your Girl”, “Straight Up”, “Cold Hearted”, or any of Paula Abdul’s songs, you’re going to want to “Rush Rush” on over to YouTube and check out her new “Check Yourself” video.

In fact, we think everyone will enjoy this catchy, yet surprisingly informational tune. The video not only has an energetic beat, several Paula-esque dance numbers, and lines like “Be Strong, Live Beautiful,” she also throws in tips and useful information in support of Avon’s #CheckYourself campaign.

The lyrics discuss breast cancer risk factors — “find out the risks in your family, do you have kids and meds can all be factors,” and explains when women should get checked — “ladies, need a clinical exam over 40, gotta get a mammogram. Over 50, go once a year. Be brave and bold and healthy!”

The video also includes clips featuring Paula and her sister Wendy. Paula explains, “My sister Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. As a breast cancer survivor and champion for the cause, she inspires me every day.”

Be forewarned, this song may get stuck in your head, but with a call to action of “check yourself,” that may just be what the campaign has in mind — and we love it for that. To learn more about the #CheckYourself campaign, visit avonfoundation.org/resources/check-yourself.
