For the Village is a reproductive justice organization that provides free, full-spectrum doula services in 10 languages to all families in the San Diego County area, with an emphasis on marginalized groups such as people of color, LGBTQ+ families, and low-income families. Alianza Coachella Valley brings together community members, nonprofits, and government to transform the socioeconomic conditions of the Coachella Valley so that people can prosper and thrive. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Alianza has distributed food and PPE, phone-banked for the 2020 Census and Election Day, and coordinated cash assistance for community members facing financial hardships. Temporary shelter Casa Arcoiris provides humanitarian support to LGBTQ+ migrants, many of whom have been forcibly displaced from their homes in Central America. The organization provides housing, counseling, medical care, social services, and legal services to those seeking asylum in the U.S. or refuge in Mexico. To learn more, visit casaarcoiris.org.
