Burlington (VT) – Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) participated in Back Up Your Birth Control Day by raising awareness of emergency contraception on Church Street in Burlington.  Volunteers tabled with materials about emergency contraception (also known as EC, the morning after pill, or Plan B) and dressed up as an EC. Emergency contraception is available at any of the Planned Parenthood Health Centers, as well as at many pharmacies.

“Back Up Your Birth Control (BUYBC) is a national campaign to expand access to emergency contraception by increasing education and awareness,” said Jill Krowinski, Director of Communications for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. EC is a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse.”
