Making a Planned Gift

The most common type of estate gift is a bequest through your will or living trust. Here is the language you will need to include a gift to PPNNE in your will:

A Specific Bequest - "I give, bequeath, and devise (dollar amount or description of gift) to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England or its successor, now or formerly in the city of Colchester, 784 Hercules Dr, Suite 110, in the state of Vermont, to be used for its general purposes."

A Residuary Bequest - "I give, bequeath, and devise (all, or ___ percent of) the rest, residue, and remainder of the property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England or its successor, now or formerly in the city of Colchester, 784 Hercules Dr, Suite 110, in the state of Vermont, to be used for its general purposes."

Planned Parenthood has also partnered with FreeWill to make this process more accessible and affordable for all. FreeWill’s online platform can help you think through your estate assets and write your will in about 20 minutes.

Other types of planned gifts include gifts that give you income for life, including a charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, or pooled income fund; and ways to leave a bequest without a will or trust, including retirement plans, insurance policies, and bank/investment accounts.

PPNNE is a tax-exempt, nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization. Our Tax ID number is 03-0222941.
