Get tested for the most common STIs — chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis —without having to leave your home!

Please note: this service is offered by Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and is only available to patients living in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Planned Parenthood health centers in other areas may offer this as well. Find a health center in a different region.

Get Tested in 3 Simple Steps

There's no need to come into the health center! You'll chat with our staff over a secure video conference and they'll place an order for your testing kit.

Your testing kit will arrive by mail. Follow the testing instructions and send your kit back in the pre-paid box. Shipping is free.

(Please note: kits must be shipped back from ME, NH, or VT. This service is only available for patients living in those states.)

Why get tested for STIs at home?

  • Convenient. There's no trip to the doctor's office required. You can complete your sample at a time that works best for you.
  • Confidential. You can take your test from the privacy of your own home. The shipping package does not say Planned Parenthood.
  • Safe. Taking your test at home keeps you and our staff safe by reducing the number of people in our health centers.
  • Accurate. The test results are just as reliable as getting tested in-person.
  • Affordable. It costs the same as getting tested in person. STI testing is covered under most health insurance plans. Uninsured? We have a sliding fee scale and other special programs that could make your testing cost less.
