Financial hardship is a primary reason that patients delay or deny health care.
PPNorCal will secure a Safe Haven for anyone coming to us for care. As other states continue to erode abortion access, we will continue to provide reproductive health services to all those coming to us.
Rural California patients may have to travel four hours or more to access abortions or advanced cervical cancer treatment. Many of these patients are hourly workers affected by lost wages, and the costs of childcare, transportation, or overnight shelter.
We seek to support our patients by providing gas cards and hotel vouchers that directly offset these costs.
Behavioral health services have always been needed and the pandemic has brought additional light to this need. Funding will support and expand our behavioral health care services, as well as help offset behavioral health care cost for our patients.
With your support, we will also invest in our technology infrastructure to expand access to telehealth services. Patients must have access to our clinicians, wherever they are located.
PPNorCal is committed to creating healthier communities, and we are grateful for your partnership in providing critical support to ensure equitable health care.
