PPNorCal's entry-level health center staff (Reproductive Health Specialists) are the heart of our organization. They are often the first people our patients meet and provide essential care. They collect vital signs, support the providers, counsel patients on contraception, and manage lab work. They often work in the communities they live in and reflect the communities they serve.
Many of our Reproductive Health Specialists (RHS) want to advance their careers but need financial assistance. PPNorCal will create a financial support program encouraging our RHS staff to pursue education and return to our health centers as medical professionals. and invest in the future of their community. Studies have shown that when a provider's ethnicity mirrors their patients, they experience better health outcomes.
To improve and retain our clinical diversity, we need to invest in our current front-line staff who reflect our patient population, thereby ensuring equitable health care access for our communities.
