Peer Education

Spare Change is a program run out of the Planned Parenthood Northern California health center in Eureka. High school students get intensive training on health, sexuality, and healthy relationships by staff, and later teach their peers about the realities and responsibilities that come with their budding sexuality. Peer educators provide one-on-one support to other youth and also teach in schools. The program has two components: Spare Change classroom presenters, and the Spare Change Theatre Troupe.
