Abortion is a medical procedure that ends a pregnancy. At PPNorCal, we offer medication abortion up to 10.0 weeks and in-clinic abortion up to 18.0 weeks.
Fees are based on a sliding scale and are determined by the patient’s monthly income and number of dependents.
Bottom Line: No one will be turned away from receiving care.
For patients traveling from long distances or from outside of California, we may be able to assist you with transportation and hotel needs.

When making your appointment, be sure to state that you need help with travel or other costs. After making your appointment, we will connect you to a Patient Navigator to discuss financial assistance for your services or travel assistance which may include hotel, gas, and transportation.
Medication abortion (MAB) — also called the abortion pill — is a safe and effective way to end an early pregnancy. All 17 PPNorCal health centers offer MABs up to 10 weeks 0 days gestational age. MABs are offered most days of the week in all centers. Learn more
In-clinic abortion (ICA) procedures are a safe and effective way to end a pregancy. ICA are sometimes called surgical abortions, though they're generally an in-office procedure, not surgery. Learn more

On June 27, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the constitutional right to abortion. This has opened the floodgates for states to ban abortion, jeopardizing basic health care for 36 million without access to needed care. There’s no doubt that patients in those states will turn to California, and PPNorCal, for help.
Our Abortion Aid program was designed to provide transportation and hotel assistance for individuals with low incomes to travel to get the care they need.
