Planned Parenthood offers professional development workshops designed to improve knowledge, competencies, skills, and effectiveness. 

Training and Professional Development

Highly-trained program participants, staff, and volunteer sexuality educators offer presentations to a variety of audiences. Professional development programs are developed in consultation with sponsoring agencies and are designed for each specific audience. Planned Parenthood presentations are always medically-accurate and age-appropriate; topics include:

  • Birth control
  • Family planning
  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Reproductive anatomy
  • Decision making
  • Healthy relationships
  • Youth-friendly services
  • Parents Are Sexuality Educators (PASE)

Presentations in Spanish and Hmong are available in the Twin Cities; Somali presentations are available in Rochester.

Our education staff can provide professional development trainings for:

  • Educators, administrators, school nurses, and counselors
  • Youth-serving professionals
  • Nurses and health care professionals
