St Paul, MN —  Tonight, Americans are mourning the loss of a hero — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Ginsburg was a tireless champion for equality, paving the road for a better America for all of us. Below is a statement from Sarah Stoesz, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood North Central States:

"All of us who believe in human rights and justice must now reimagine the world without one of our greatest champions — our dearly beloved Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  Her brilliant intellect helped light the way for our country for decades. She loved the law and used it to make the world better for all people.  Her own experiences with discrimination as a woman, a mother, and a Jew shaped her approach to interpreting the Constitution to truly include everyone in 'we the people.'

Her loss is devastating for our country. I join with all Americans deeply mourning her death, and we pledge to keep alive her resilient spirit and commitment to justice for all people, forever.

As Americans, we will honor her memory by considering the gravity of this moment, and commit to doing everything possible to bring the change our cherished country so desperately needs."
