As always, exciting things are in the works at Planned Parenthood of Nassau County. We’re thrilled to announce that we are officially joining forces with four other affiliates in New York to form one amazing organization—Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY). This new Planned Parenthood affiliate will serve Nassau County to New York City, to Ithaca to Saratoga, and all the way through the Hudson Valley.
You might be wondering what this means for you.
Once we merge, PPGNY will operate 28 health centers providing approximately 200,000 patient visits annually. It will include half of New York State’s counties, covering 65% of the state’s population. This means more access than ever before for New Yorkers across the state. But your visits won’t change—our team will be made up of the same passionate caregivers you know and love.
Uniting with these other great affiliates will also make our voice more powerful in Albany. We’ll be more unified, more supportive, and stronger together. So issues like comprehensive sex ed for all and expanding reproductive health care access will be in good hands.
PPGNY will officially launch in January 2020 and we’re so excited you’re with us as we make this important next step for health care access.
