Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP)
Helping Teens Make Responsible Choices
The Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP) project is a New York State funded program dedicated to reducing teen pregnancy in Hempstead, Roosevelt and Westbury - communities which have the highest rates of teen pregnancy in Nassau County.
CAPP is a holistic program that provides evidence-based programs to at-risk African American and Latino youth, entrenches our staff in the schools to provide one-on-one counseling and referrals, provides teens with youth development activities, targets adolescents and professionals with outreach and information about accessing family planning services, and leads a community-wide response to address health disparities and promote adolescents' sexual health.
