Integrated Behavioral Health at PPMT

Integrated Behavioral Health Care at Planned Parenthood of Montana

Our healthcare providers believe in taking a team-based, whole person approach to help our patients improve their overall health, functioning, and wellbeing.  This means that when patients are interested, they can pursue behavioral and mental health services along with their other medical services during the same appointment or at a later time that is more convenient.

Behavioral and mental health providers are based in Missoula and we serve patients across Montana via telehealth as well.  We are a graduate student training site, so advanced clinical psychology and social work students may observe licensed providers or provide services to patients with close supervision.

We provide services that help our patients address:

  • depression
  • anxiety disorders
  • life stress
  • sleep issues and/or insomnia
  • trauma
  • grief
  • intimate partner violence
  • sexual violence
  • COVID-19/pandemic stress
  • anger concerns
  • transgender and nonbinary supportive counseling
  • health behavior change
  • tobacco cessation
  • mild alcohol or drug misuse
  • care coordination and connection to outside services (specialty therapy, psychiatry, comprehensive primary care, housing, food, school, and other basic needs)

How to schedule an appointment or learn more:

We currently offer behavioral and mental health services for active PPMT patients.  If you are not a current or previous PPMT patient, please schedule a visit with the medical team first.

Online scheduling is not available for initial behavioral and mental health appointments but is available for follow-up appointments and rescheduling.

We currently offer behavioral and mental health services for patients ages 16 and older. Patients who are 16 and 17 can consent for behavioral and mental health services without a parent or guardian in the state of Montana.
