Educate. Advocate. Serve.
Join Teen Council to educate your peers, serve your community and stand up for important issues. We’ll provide:
- Comprehensive sex education in a group of your peers
- An opportunity to voice your questions, opinions and beliefs
- Presentation skills
Then you will travel to local schools and community groups to provide peer education, information about events like World AIDS Day and advocacy for reproductive health and freedom.
You can participate from one to three years. During the selected time period, you commit to weekly 2-3 hour meetings during the school year, a 3 day (2 night) kick off retreat in the fall, and approximately 5-10 hours a month giving presentations or engaging in other community service throughout the year.
Download and submit the application to apply for the program. This program is for 10th – 12th graders in Duluth, Rochester and the Twin Cities and parental permission is required.
