Media Critic and Author Jennifer Pozner to Give Speech in Hudson Valley

On Wednesday, May 7th, noted media critic and author Jennifer Pozner will be giving a presentation entitled “Project Brainwash: Why Reality TV is Bad for Women (and men, people of color, the economy, love, and sheer common sense!)” in Newburgh, NY. The event is hosted by 4 Women’s Justice, an Orange County coalition comprised of Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley, the Mental Health Association of Orange County Inc. – Rape Crisis, Safe Homes of Orange County, and the YWCA of Orange County. 

The event will take place at St. George’s Episcopal Church, located at 105 Grand Street in Newburgh, and will begin with a short reception at 6:00pm.  Light refreshments will be provided, with the presentation beginning at 6:30pm.  Jennifer Pozner will also have copies of her groundbreaking book, Reality Bites Back: The Troubling Truth about Guilty Pleasure TV, available for sale and signing during and following her keynote.  There is a suggested donation of $10 for adults, $5 for students to attend this event.
