PPMHV Hosts Mid-Hudson Valley Conference on August 6

Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley is pleased to sponsor, with the generous support of NY State Senator John Bonacic’s office, the Mid-Hudson Valley Conference entitled From Assessment to Action: Learning to Measure and Promote Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) at Your Agency on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Terrace Restaurant in New Paltz, NY.
Stergios Roussos, PhD, MPH, a National Leader on CLAS Standards, will be the keynote speaker, followed by a panel of peers experienced in CLAS Standards. The conference will focus on how to use a field-tested, user-friendly method to help agencies or programs assess compliance with Title Vl Civil Rights legislation for language access and align services with the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Healthcare.
