Know Your Status

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are really common, and getting tested regularly is important.

Take control of your reproductive health. Know your status.

Figuring out your relationship status is hard. Figuring out your STD status doesn't have to be.

Most of the time, STDs have no symptoms, which makes testing the only way to know for sure if you have an STD. If you're sexually active (meaning you have vaginal, anal, or oral sex), get tested regularly.

STD Testing at Planned Parenthood of Metro DC

Here at PPMW, we're committed to making sure you receive high-quality, comprehensive health care. We accept walk-ins for STD testing based on patient volume, and recommend you make an appointment

We can test, diagnose, & treat:

  • bacterial vaginosis (BV)
  • chlamydia
  • genital warts
  • gonorrhea
  • herpes
  • HIV (testing and diagnosis only)
  • syphilis
  • trichomoniasis

We can test for chlamydia and gonorrhea via urine test. Your STD test may require a genital exam.

STD Prevention!

Condoms are the only form of birth control that protect against both STDs and pregnancy. Good news! Planned Parenthood of Metro DC offers free condoms at each of our three health centers. Just walk in during health center hours and ask for some male or female condoms! We also provide dental dams for protection during oral sex.
