BOSTON– Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) is grateful that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation has clarified its grantmaking criteria and will continue to support lifesaving breast cancer screenings and education at Planned Parenthood health centers across the country.
Although PPLM is not directly affected by this decision, they have received an outpouring of support for women in need of lifesaving breast cancer screening this week.
Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts is the largest freestanding reproductive health care provider in the state. For over 80 years PPLM has protected and promoted sexual and reproductive health and freedom of choice through clinical services, education and advocacy. For more information, visit www.pplm.org.
