Supporters Rush to Celebrate Their Right to Choose….With Shoes

Baltimore, MD - On Thursday, April 26, 2012, Planned Parenthood of Maryland (PPM) is hosting its 7th annual signature event, Celebrate Our Right to Shoes. Guests are invited to a fabulous evening mingling with other pro-choice supporters. Highlights include a raffle of a 16GB Apple iPad, great food, and exciting silent and live auction items.

The event will be held from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm at Pazo, located at 1425 Aliceanna St. in Baltimore’s Harbor East. The VIP Reception (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm) will feature the presentation of the Betty Tyler Award to Maryland State Senator Delores G. Kelley and Delegate Pete Hammen for their outstanding leadership in protecting and advancing reproductive rights in Maryland.

Tickets to this event are sold out.

“The fact that we have sold out two years in a row, and so quickly, is really a testament to how dedicated our supporters are and how excited they are for this fabulously fun event. We can't wait until the 26th when we'll have the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful mission of Planned Parenthood of Maryland together,” stated Michelle Siri, Event Co-Chair and PPM Board member.

100% of the proceeds from this event will go toward Planned Parenthood of Maryland programs and services, including: life-saving breast and cervical cancer screenings, routine GYN care, contraception, pregnancy testing and options counseling, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and comprehensive sex education.
