Stacy Cross, a veteran leader of Planned Parenthood affiliates in the Northwest, has been selected as the new president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, headquartered in San Jose, California. She will assume leadership of PPMM, the nation’s largest Planned Parenthood affiliate, on August 28, 2017.
Stacy comes to PPMM with more than three decades of experience leading health care organizations, including 16 years at the helm of two Planned Parenthood affiliates. Since she took over in her current position as CEO of Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette in Portland Oregon, the affiliate has achieved financial stability, implemented electronic medical records for all patients, broadened the patient base by contracting with dozens of private health insurance providers, and enhanced the affiliate’s diversity and outreach programs.
From 2001 to 2013, Stacy was CEO of Planned Parenthood of Montana where she worked closely with the board to develop policies, priorities, and fundraising resources as well as revitalizing service delivery, which resulted in serving far more patients.
Stacy has also been a leader at the regional and national levels of Planned Parenthood, often working on committees and projects with Linda Williams, who recently retired from PPMM after serving for more 27 years as CEO.
A mother of five children who are now between the ages of 20 and 34, Stacy is an avid runner and once served as the area director of the Yellowstone Valley Special Olympics. She has a bachelor’s degree in allied health services from the University of North Florida and an MBA from the University of Montana.
“This work has become my life’s calling for the last sixteen years,” she told PPMM board members. “I am so honored to be following in Linda’s footsteps.”
We are thrilled to have Stacy lead us in this challenging time for PPMM.
