How to Vote in Nevada

Learn how to register to vote and then how to vote in Nevada.

Your vote counts!

Registering to Vote

You can register to vote by filling out an application online and mailing it to your local elections office.

There are other ways to register in-person, such as at a NV Department of Motor Vehicles office. To learn more about these options, visit the Nevada Secretary of State's web page.

Note: You must be registered to vote 21 days prior to the primary and general elections.

All registered voters receive their Sample Ballots in the mail.

Sample Ballots also include information on:

  • voting by mail,
  • early voting time and locations, and
  • your polling location if you vote on Election Day.

To find your polling place, visit this page at the NV Secretary of State's website.
