Opportunity #1 – RENO: HEALTH CENTER ADVOCACY VOLUNTEER

Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP) volunteers are stationed in the waiting room and provide opportunities for PPMM patients and visitors to get involved with advocacy and volunteering.

 

Opportunity #2 – PHOTOGRAPHY VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for a creative photography volunteer that can help lead photography efforts at ongoing PP events, fundraisers, and activities.  No need to be a professional but you do need to have some experience, even if it is a hobby.  Schedule and location within the Mar Monte region if flexible.

 

Opportunity #3 – SAN MATEO: BILINGUAL HEALTH CENTER

We’re looking for a volunteer in our San Mateo health center to help with support tasks that include sorting faxes, mail, scanning, and organizing. Interaction with patients is not guaranteed.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Commit to at least 6 - 10 hours/week
  • Needed Mondays & Fridays 8:30 AM - Noon
  • Must commit to this role for at least six months
  • Must be fluent English/Spanish.

 

Opportunity #4 – WATSONVILLE: BILINGUAL HEALTH CENTER

Opportunity #5 – PEER EDUCATOR in FRESNO, SACRAMENTO, or STOCKTON:

Applications are open for the 2018- 2019 Peer Educator Programs for Fresno, Sacramento, and Stockton. Peer educators are trained by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte health educators on how to promote positive sexuality, sexual decision making, and share sexual health information. Participants learn strong communication skills and how to educate their peers through outreach and presentations.

Peer Educators will receive a gift card each month if they meet the participation and attendance requirements. (Must commit for nine months and be available 12 hours a month, including evenings and weekends).
