Assist the Reno Youth Network
The Reno Youth Network is a community-wide initiative in Northern Nevada to help youth ages 12-24 who are homeless, runaways, unattached or who are aging out of foster care. Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is a community partner with the Reno Youth Network. Visit their website to learn more about how you can help: www.renoyouthnetwork.com.
Write a Letter to the Editor
The "Letters to the Editor" section is one of the most widely read sections of the newspaper and often reaches a large audience, so it's a great place to inform and educate people on the issues you care about. Need help getting started? Check out a sample letter to the editor or contact [email protected] for tips. Don't forget to keep your letter short, as many newspapers have strict length requirements.
Sign the letter with your name and address and send it by mail, email or fax to the attention of the paper's editor. Be sure to let us know that you submitted a letter.
REAL Sex Ed for Nevada Teens
Our teens need and deserve comprehensive sexuality education in order to make responsible decisions. According to the Guttmacher Institute, Nevada has the second highest teen pregnancy rate in the country. Real sex ed saves lives!
